"Like a Classroom Between Its Covers"

The "MindTech Principles" delivers! If you are one of the millions of people who are attracted to the latest and greatest "how to"  self-help books on the market but fall short of jumping in because it seems "too good to be true" or what it promises doesn't "ring  true", then James Andrews' book, "The MindTech Principles" is for you.

Within the pages of "The MindTech Principles", Mr. Andrews creates a classroom effect specifically designed to teach you why and how  these claims are possible and how they work. He leads you through explanations that he backs up with statistics and facts, in an easy  to read, easy to understand manner.

He then provides you with a road map to begin your own journey toward creating exactly what you want in your life. The difference  between "The MindTech Principles" and other books is that Mr. Andrews not only "tells" you what you need to do, for example: discover  what it is that you truly want, he leads you through how to accomplish that and why what he suggests you do works!

Regardless of my background in human psychology, my life long passion concerning my own personal growth, and the fact that I have  dedicated my career to teaching the principles of the law of attraction to children, I came away with new information that provided  me with a new understanding of why many of the things I teach actually happen! I am confident that "The MindTech Principles" will not  only help me become a better person but a better teacher as well.

I highly recommend this book whether you are a seasoned professional or exploring the area of personal growth for the first time. It  is by far the most complete self-growth book available today.

"I love this book!"

I found this book to be the missing link for me. Reading this book in its entirety twice, I finally understand the brain connection  in transforming life patterns. Jim has written this vital information in such a way that it is easy to read and understand. More  importantly, he offers very powerful, clear techniques to effect change in our lives.

This book is written with heart and sincerity along with scientific information. The author provides helpful guidance through the  discomfort phases of change and encourages you to continue on your path even when it is rough. This book is a good friend to comfort  and prod you on through all phases of the journey of manifesting a better life.

I think this book should be required reading for everyone on the path of personal transformation. Using the MindTech Principles will  bring dynamic change to your life.

"Live better through understanding"

I have read a number of self-help books, but nothing like this one.

There is in human experience, as well as in most self-help books, a murky area where in most cases faith erroneously passes for  understanding, and understanding for faith. This can get especially confusing today, when we are constantly bombarded by bits and  pieces of nonsensical pseudo-information from all kinds of supposedly reputable sources.

The MindTech Principles clears up the confusion with such magnificent ease that a couple of chapters into the book you end up  scratching your head and saying things like, "Now why didn't I think of that? It's so simple!" As you continue reading, you'll begin  to understand why.

What we find confusing and/or intimidating in life, what constantly gets in the way of our desires, dreams, and careers isn't  necessarily the stuff we can or can't control, but rather the things we're not so sure about, starting with, astonishingly enough,  our minds. Mr. Andrews' book shows how this can be . . . no, not avoided, since avoiding our fears, great and little, is what gets us  confused in the first place ... but actually dealt with. Not remedied, but dealt with. Not accepted, but dealt with. Your mind is  something that definitely belongs to you. You're in charge of it. And you're entitled to get the most out of it. This book shows you  how.

Your mind can work wonders for you (and for some others as well). Your mind affects your life and others (the book explains how it  does that, by the way). Some things must be accepted, others don't. In order to tell the difference, you have to understand what it  is.

Understand. The keyword.

The author's narrative style is simple and straight-forward (very elegantly so). It doesn't attempt to convince the reader by  appealing to his or her insecurities or vanity. Instead, the author invites readers to convince themselves based on their own  experiences and desires. He makes it a point to remind you constantly that understanding the processes that occur inside one's mind  is the most powerful tool of all. It shows you (among many other things) how and why you can keep falling into the same unfortunate  pattern again and again and explains that instead of telling yourself that you're just having a bad day, month, or year, you can get  your mind to identify the pattern, understand it thoroughly, and give it a name (I'm not kidding - you can and should give it a name  (only please don't call it Miles or Molly ... those two names are very dear to me personally, for various reasons), get on familiar  terms with it, and then actually ask it where does it get off barging into your life unannounced, and it WILL walk away in shame -  but to be able to do that, you absolutely have to be familiar with what the author calls - you guessed it - the MindTech Principles,  all of which are explained in great detail in the book.).

That's another interesting point about the book: it's fairly short. Really, it is. And yet the author has somehow managed to put  everything you need to know about your mind in order to, well, "get ahead in life," into it. Be careful. The book is amazingly fast- paced (and very enjoyable), but if you miss a point, any point, you won't be able to . . . well, UNDERSTAND the rest. Read carefully.  It's worth it.

Case in point:

Faith should never be misplaced. Any religion will tell you so. And yet we keep wishing for things vaguely, and hoping that our faith  in attaining them will prove sufficient sooner or later. And, yes, we may go on wishing till the cows come home, but why not examine  the wish instead, as well as the obstacles and the most efficient way in which we can make it come true? You and I could talk and  write volumes about this (some folks have in fact written volumes about it, to no avail). All the book says is, "Faith and belief are  effective tools if they work for you. Maybe now we can place our faith in a different process: understanding. Now I know that if I  adjust my expectation, I have a greatly likelihood of seeing what I want." That's it. Nailed it. There are many, many points like  that in the book, all bound together by irrefutable logic.

You're a grownup. You have a wonderful mind in good working order. This book will show you how to use it with maximum efficiency.

"Jim Andrews ideas are very effective"

Want to know how to get what you want? News flash - you don't just wish for it with all your heart and expect it to happen. The  MindTech Principles unveils the techniques we can use to help us set our mind on the path toward the realization of our goals.

Before we can successfully make a change in the way we think about something, we need to know why we think the way we do about it.  The discovery process can take some digging and each of us may be surprised to find that opinions we carry about certain things were  adopted somewhere along the line without us ever having done much thinking about them. Many of the ideas we hold can keep us stuck on  the path we've traveled for years. The problem is that we probably don't even know it.

To find the success we desire, we need identify and set our goals, then begin down the path toward achieving them. If we get stuck,  we need to challenge the ideas we encounter that prevent us from moving ahead. We have to change the way we think to eliminate the  roadblocks. The transformation process Jim Andrews describes in his book is the key to identifying the process we can use to achieve  the success we desire.

"Easy read..."

This book reminded me of Eckhart Tolle's "The Power of Now", with one exception; mindtech principles is easier for the common person  to read. MTP gives us a model of how to find our true self--our spiritual and mental center. Much of the book is written in plain  English, which displays the absolute knowledge of the author; one need not be a genius to grasp how what we inadvertently absorb  affects our conscious and our spirituality. Throughout the book the author gives us several methods of self testing. These tests are  interesting and their results will surprise you. By the end of the book, you will come away with a deeper understanding of yourself  and of humanity in general, as reading this book gives you a different perspective.

A Fantastic Read!

Mr. Andrews has achieved success with The MindTech Principles. No stranger to self-help books, I was immediately drawn in by the  personal tone and easy to grasp concepts. I felt as if I was listening to a good friend speak. Too often with self-help books, you  have to wade through unhelpful generalities. The MindTech Principles gives an easy-to-grasp foothold and specific steps for learning  how to change your life. If you are interested in knowing a bit more about how the mind works and how to make positive changes in  your life, this book is for you!

"A lot more than self-improvement"

Although this book is categorically a self-help/improvement manual, and an exceptional one at that, it also happens to be much more.  This serious effort explains the integral link our physical bodies have with our mind and spirit, and, how this triad, when  amalgamized may affect our moods, thinking process, even our destiny. The reader is introduced to the fundamental correlationship  that exists between mental processing and emotional reactionary tendencies. "The MindTech Principles" also offers an extremely  comprehensive explanation of how the mind's cognitive functions may be controlled and focused to actually assist one in their  pursuits. The author offers a detailed scientific explanation of such things as:
Will Power.
Positive Thinking.
Commitment & Focus.
Perhaps, even an insightful explanation of the various so-called bipolar disorders that exist.

A genuine scientific analysis of our mental/physical existence, written in layman's vernacular.

Including up to date scientific breakthroughs/discoveries, such as the author's reference to the amygdala, and its influence on human  neurological synapses; prior to reading "The MindTech Principles" I was under the impression that this area of research was limited  to monkeys.

Furthermore, I consider Mr. Andrews glancing (although not as conclusively as I would have liked) over the age-old controversy  science versus religion, to be quite significant. He imperturbably reconciles the twain, to a point where one may realize that there  is more common ground amongst the two than either may have with the One. As both is either speculation or circumspection. I am not  presupposing here how the author may reconcile cosmology; at times the reader could become a bit confused with the implications  stated throughout the volume. However, on close scrutiny, it becomes clear that terminology cannot truly describe or explain The  Almighty...to truly know God is so much so that, one may only be certain of Him by actually knowing Him (if I may paraphrase); or,  more plainly, an exercise in truth/reality, and not mental processing or definement/ability. Although I may seem to be deviating  here, such is perhaps the most insightful evidence or proof of an inspiring and stimulating work; a book that draws in the reader and  magnifies his/her personal perceptions. Mr. Andrews has achieved an excellent paradox of science, spiritualism and human catalytic  potential. And, he has accomplished this difficult task, which is so often performed maladroitly, quite admirably.

"A New Perspective"

Being a man, I'm not normally a fan of personal self-development literature, but this book was an exception. The explanations for why  we have "fear" when starting a new endeavor, the processes of working through that fear, and finding the "inner smile" is something I  use daily.
